T: Sa, Swim! Swim fast! Swim slowly! What is Sa doing?
Ss: Sa is swimming.
鼓勵學生根據基礎語音教學法拼出單詞swim, 將其板書出來。T: Can you spell swimming? 此時會有聰明的學生拼出來swimming。
T(強調): How many letter “m”s are there?
T(全班同學一起游泳): What are you doing? We are running.
T:Who can’t swim? The chairs/desks/birds can’t swim.
B Read the verbs and their present participles,then play the video of Part A-words.
(設計意圖:通過體態(tài)、語言、夸張的表情、小游戲來啟發(fā)誘導學生學習新單詞,并對現在分詞有個初步的印象。)
Step Three Teach sentence patterns
T:Open your mouth!
(很仔細地看著學生的嘴,假裝很驚訝地問)What’s this?
(假裝把手伸到學生嘴里拿出一樣東西)
Look! It has two big ears. It has a long nose. It has a small tail. What is it?
Ss:It’s an elephant.
T: What is the elephant doing?
Ss guess.(引導學生說)The elephant is …ing.
T: (出示PPT聲音文件)The elephant is sleeping.
How many elephants are there?
Ss: There is only one.
以上教學過程是針對句子主語為單數的,如果主語為復數的,就可以假裝從孩子嘴里掏出兩個或者更多的小動物。通過這種方式將課文里的四個句型引導出來。
(設計意圖:通過游戲讓學生學習新句型,在反復的操練過程中讓學生對主語為單復數的現在進行時句型進行區(qū)別和理解。)
Step Four Game
T: Sa, are you a rabbit?
Sa: Yes.
T: What is the rabbit doing?
Don’t tell her. Don’t tell him. Just tell me.
Ss(在老師耳邊小聲說): The rabbit is eating.
T(ask the whole class): What is the rabbit doing?
Ss guess.
T(The winner stands up): You are a turtle. What is the turtle doing?
重復上面的過程,但這次,由學生提問學生回答,由老師帶領學生學習英語轉換為學生自主學習。在對單數的句型練習幾次后,改為對復數句型的練習,即叫兩個人起來一起扮演小動物,并自己小聲商量做什么動作,然后提問同學What are the … doing?
(設計意圖:通過游戲讓學生練習新句型,在由老師帶領學習逐漸轉向學生自主學習,在反復的操練過程中讓學生對主語為單復數的現在進行時句型進行區(qū)別和理解。)
Step Five Game
讓學生戴上小動物頭飾,老師大聲說,“The elephant are sleeping.”所有戴著大象頭飾的同學必須迅速站起來邊做出睡覺的動作邊搶一個座位,最慢的那個沒有搶到座位的同學走到講臺前,自己選擇一個小動物說:“The rabbits are eating.”戴小兔子頭飾的同學邊做出吃的動作邊找座位……
(設計意圖:從經驗來看,學生對單數的句型通常掌握較好,這個游戲讓學生在反復的操練中加強對復數句型理解。)
Step Six Playing Video
放教學光碟,讓學生跟讀一遍后自己朗讀。如果還不會朗讀,就坐在座位上朗讀;如果已經會朗讀,可以站劈來看書朗讀;如果已經會背誦,就站起來觀賞書背誦。
(設計意圖:讓學生熟悉新課文,在朗讀過程中加強對現在進行時的感悟,同時也是根據學生的接受程度進行分層教學。)
Step Seven Exercises and practice

b. 讓學生分組來描述小動物,幾分鐘后來演示
(設計意圖:通過附加的練習題了解學生對現在進行時的掌握情況,及時糾
正錯誤。)
Step seven Home work
學生自己畫一個Happy Zoo, 根據自己的圖用現在進行時來描述,并在班級用英語展示。
(設計意圖:根據孩子喜歡自己動手的天性,結合課文內容布置此項作業(yè),了解學生對現在進行時的掌握情況,及時糾正錯誤。)
