　　表示普遍的事實(shí)或真理(expressing a general truth)

　　表示不受時(shí)間限制的科學(xué)事實(shí)、客觀真理、諺語格言，以及用于概括、結(jié)論、觀點(diǎn)等。此時(shí)，這些動(dòng)作或狀態(tài)的發(fā)生不限于某個(gè)特定的時(shí)間，也即它們可發(fā)生于任何時(shí)間，包括現(xiàn)在、過去和將來。

　　比如下面這些科學(xué)常識或諺語：

　　1 Water freezes at 32 Fahrenheit and boils at 212 Fahrenheit.

　　水在華氏32度結(jié)冰，在212度沸騰。

　　2 Water consists of hydrogen and oxygen.

　　水是由氫和氧兩種元素組成。

　　3 The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.

　　太陽東升西落。

　　4 The world is round.

　　世界是圓的。
