194. Departure

　　194. 離開(kāi)

　　But Jose had no idea that there were people in town who were sensitive to people with special powers!

　　可是喬斯不知道城里有人對(duì)特殊功能很敏感!

　　These people were convinced that Jose was from the Devil. And they were determined to do whatever they could to send Jose packing.

　　這些人深信喬斯是魔鬼變的，決心盡最大的努力讓喬斯卷鋪蓋走人。

　　Jose saw it coming! One day, as he walked out of school, a group of people was in front protesting Jose!

　　喬斯預(yù)感會(huì)發(fā)生這件事!一天，他從學(xué)校走出來(lái)，一群人正在前面對(duì)喬斯提出抗議!

　　They had posters that said things like "When God separates the wheat from the chaff, Jose will burn!" and "We can tell the sheep from the goats, Jose is a goat!"

　　他們張貼廣告，上面寫(xiě)著"當(dāng)上帝分淸好壞時(shí)，喬斯就要被燒死!""我們能區(qū)分好人和壞人，喬斯是壞人!"

　　It made Jose's heart sad! He knew that they would succeed. The town would soon send him away!

　　這使喬斯很傷心!他知道他們會(huì)取勝。這座城市很快就會(huì)把他趕走!

　　And no one would see him off, not even his parents! The fanatics would see to it that they were also convinced that he was evil!

　　而且沒(méi)有人會(huì)向他告別，就連父母也不會(huì)!狂熱者們保證會(huì)讓他們也相信他是邪惡的!

　　But Jose was not going to leave easily. He lifted his arms, concentrated, and sent all of the posters up in smoke! Everyone gasped!

　　可是喬斯并不打算輕易離開(kāi)。他舉起雙臂、全神貫注、把所有廣告化為烏有!大家都倒抽了一口冷氣!

　　"Sell out!" "Devil boy!" "Spawn from Hell!" People started yelling.

　　"投降!""魔鬼男孩!""狗娘養(yǎng)的!"人們開(kāi)始喊起來(lái)。

　　And then they sent in the police to apprehend Jose. Seeing that he could not win, Jose gave up and accepted his fate!

　　然后他們就請(qǐng)警察來(lái)抓喬斯。由于寡不敵眾，喬斯放棄并認(rèn)命了!

　　He would not even seek out a lawyer to try to defend this travesty of justice! Let the people send him out! He thought.

　　他甚至都不愿找律師對(duì)這種嘲弄法律的行為進(jìn)行辯護(hù)!讓人們把他趕走好了!他想。

　　Let them separate themselves from the help he could give! He didn't care anymore! He just cared about his parents!

　　讓他們和他分開(kāi)、得不到他的幫助!他什么都不在乎!他只在乎他的父母!

　　And they suffered. Once he was gone they tried to sell off some of his belongings.

　　他們真的受苦了。他一走，他們就想廉價(jià)出售他的一些私人物品。

　　But even the Salvation Army sent back their donations when they were told that they were the former belongings of the Devil boy! And Jose just disappeared!

　　可是一聽(tīng)說(shuō)是魔鬼男孩以前用過(guò)的東西，就連救世軍也把他們的捐贈(zèng)物退回來(lái)了!喬斯就這樣消失了!
