　　With the advent of a wide variety of electronic devices and social media, traditional ways of communication and socialization, which used to be predominantly physical, have been largely replaced by virtual modes. Consequently, some people who are nostalgic about face-to-face contacts in the past are increasingly critical of most forms of virtual interaction, on account that the latter alienates human relationships. However, as far as I am concerned, the prevalence of socializing online has been beneficial in general.

　　Admittedly, people who are overly reliant on, or even obsessed with, virtual interaction are susceptible to social isolation, psychological deterioration, and even latent perils engendered by some fraudulent activities. For apparent reasons, if someone excessively indulges himself into some socializing platforms, he might feel increasingly lukewarm towards physical reality, and the culmination of such tendency can lead to a series of psychological disorders, such as depressions, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or even autism. On top of that, since such social websites are teeming with so many individuals and parties with hidden schemes, credulous users can easily fall victims to such perils and conspiracies and suffer huge financial losses. As a result, we all need to use socializing software or applications with due caution.
