In the contemporary society, the prevalent study-weariness among youngsters after school has concerned the entire community. Generally, the rationale behind this phenomenon has much to do with the faults related to contents, approaches, management and costs of school education, as well as certain external problems like social unemployment and temptation of entertainment. I will expound these possible reasons and offer proper resolutions for reversion. Firstly, the majority of main reasons of loathing learning result from a degraded school education, which troubles youngsters day by day. For one thing, called as ivory tower, a school, no matter high school or university, is always criticized for its on-class contents provided to students. The knowledge in the teaching plan is too old and outmoded to keep pace with the changes of world today, or too theoretical and abstract to meet the practical requirements of living or working. Consequently, in the eyes of youngsters, school studying is valueless and no more than a waste of time. Another reason lies on the inflexible teaching style, or called rote learning. In a long time, repetitive memorization is always overemphasized in school because teachers view it as an effective way of grasping knowledge. However, this learning process is naturally characterized by its monotonousness, damaging imagination and failing to bring pleasure and motivation for studying. No wonder so many students lose their general interests and passion in school education, for school experience has turned into long suffering on nerve of brain. Apart from the reasons above, many factors outside the school also twist students' thinking about school learning. Specifically, in the current age full of economic decline and fierce job competition, it is very difficult for a university graduate to go into employment, even at the high cost of 4-year consistent spending of money, time and efforts on university education. For these unemployed youngsters, learning in university is a false and worthless option in life. Lastly, various entertainments in society which are exclusive from the target of studying, distract students too much. The lodestone of these amusements such as cinema, KTV, TV games and live concerts of pop stars, cultivates an entertainment-oriented mind among students, driving youngsters to give the priority of after-school time to recreation over studying.(370字)
