Please describe an event that resulted in a positive change in your life
You should say:
When it happened
Where it happened
What the change was
And explain how you benefited from this change
誤區(qū):
首先拿到題目之后我們應(yīng)該迅速定位一個(gè)describe,三個(gè)say和一個(gè)explain,劃出關(guān)鍵詞positive change in YOUR life, when, where, what, how YOU benefited。
記錄自己的花銷keep the accounts,得知不當(dāng)家不知柴米貴,從此不再浪費(fèi);
每天運(yùn)動(dòng)或者定期運(yùn)動(dòng)exercise regularly,讓你養(yǎng)成了良好的作息習(xí)慣,身體健康;
練字practise calligraphy,改變自己的心態(tài),增長(zhǎng)自己的自信、增加自己的展示機(jī)會(huì);
primary school, grade 2
at my own home
calligraphy: poor to excellent handwriting
prizes and praises; my first job (handwriting is just like your personality)
Back to my primary school, grade 2, I was good at every subject I learnt at that time. Actually, the courses then were elementary so we’ve got quite a few classmates who could get high marks in the exams as I did. However, every time my head teacher announced the results, my name has never been especially mentioned to commend just because of the poor handwriting on my paper.
With time went by, I got annoyed by my handwriting then I determined to learn calligraphy in my own home since my father was quite good at it. Therefore, I practiced really hard and used more than 10 copybooks for calligraphy. Under the help of my father, I improved so fast that I even, to some extent, got addicted to writing for more than 3 hours at a time. It turned out to be quite worthy because I was much more confident of my handwriting and felt proud of it.
As a result, I fully used it to get advantages from. Honestly, I got a lot like winning prizes in school and being admired by classmates. Naturally, my teachers and other parents praised me a lot, which made me happy. I know they are a little bit superficial but I just enjoy it until the day I benefited from my handwriting to get my first job. Perhaps it was the influence of the first impression, but I did get the chance to participate in a very important module in the company just because the interviewer thought I might have a very good character and capability to do things. You know in China we get an old saying: “Your handwriting is just like your personality.” It simply means someone’s writing style resembles his innate qualities. I think I really should thank my father and my hard work then.
