Describe a job you would like to have in the future.
You should say:
what the job is
where you want to do it
what the hours are like
and explain why you would like to do this job.
My ideal job takes years for even the most talented people to secure. It requires vast amounts of experience and a well-honed skill set, including some skills that cannot be taught. I hope, one day, to become a published writer.
Writers do not need to have specific degrees or qualifications, but many famous writers go through physical trials and moral quandaries in order to create their masterpieces. It can take years or even decades of blood, sweat and tears before a writer’s book graces the shelves of bookstores.
Most writers do not have to work in offices with time sheets and schedules like in other jobs; they can work wherever they choose. But that doesn’t mean they doss off! Writers often work feverishly around the clock, barely stopping for sustenance, when they’re tapping away at their keyboard. At other times, the wordsmith will plumb the depths of his or her brain for days, weeks or months, always coming up against a brick wall – something known as Writer’s Block.
I want to travel the world and write about my experiences as I go, then publish my book when I reach the last place on my bucket list, America. It has long been my major ambition to do this; I want to help my readers learn about people from other cultures because I think it mutual understanding is vital for success in the increasingly globalised world we live in today.
