　　Students’ Preference for Internet Rather than Library

　　In the past ten years，as is shown in the bar chart, students’ time spent in library dropped tremendously from 20 hours per week to about 12, while their time spent on the internet soared from approximately 6 to 18.

　　Several reasons, I believe，can account for this phenomenon. First of all, the development of IT has offered us an easier access to the internet, thus an increasing number of students have become the regular netizens. Secondly, the internet is tempting with its convenient availability of massive information compared with the library. As everything is at hand in a few clips, the majority of students no longer bother to study in library. Thirdly, it must be pointed out that the internet also provides multiple entertainments extremely appealing to young students——some of whom, unfortunately, have become online game addicts.

　　According to the previous discussion，we may safely come to the conclusion that much attention should be placed on students’ preference for the internet than library, and that if they could reject the disadvantages of the internet and take advantage of its convenience, they would spend their college years fruitfully and meaningfully.

　　綜上所述，我們完全可以得出以下結論：學生青睞網絡，應當引起人們足夠的重視。假如他們能夠避免網絡的弊端，利用網絡的便捷，那么，他們的大學生活就會碩果累累、意義非凡。
