本次的短對話考到的俗語、習語比較多，很多考生可能聽不懂這些習語。但是沒有關系，因為這些語句基本都出現(xiàn)在第一個人的話里，而題目的答案往往在于第二個人說的話中。下面看看幾個例子：

　　聽力部分示例一：

　　1. M: Look at these low prices at these fashionable TV sets. Something is fishy, don’t you think so?

　　W: Well, there have been a lot of robberies recently. Some of the stolen goods may have landed here.

　　Q: What does the woman imply about the low price television sets?

　　第一句話里有一個fishy，意思是可疑的，這個詞可能很多同學都聽不懂，但是這懂無所謂。知道第二句話里的robberies、stolen就可以做題了。

　　聽力部分示例二：

　　6. W: You look different today, but I can’t quite put my finger on what it is.

　　M: Oh, yesterday I finally got around to that new barbershop in the mall and enjoyed their services.

　　Q: What can be inferred about the man?

　　這里有一個put my finger on，意思是確切地講出，聽不懂問題也不大

　　new barbershop聽懂就可以了，這是這道題的關鍵詞所在。

　　聽力部分示例三：

　　W: What do you think Picasso’s painting exhibited in the city museum?

　　M: Personally I can’t quite see the meaning in his modern works. Most of them remind me of the stuff my nephew brings home from the kindergarten.

　　Q: What does the man mean?

　　第一個人在講到畢加索的畫，回答中的can’t，表否定的意思要聽出來，如果沒聽出來，從下句話里的nephew(侄子)、kindergarten(幼兒園)可以得出他對畢加索的圖不屑一顧，就可以答題了。

　　題敢很重要，很多時候貫穿在你在聽第二個人的話中有沒有聽出只言片語。

　　1、積累常考俗語、習語，如on the fly(急匆匆)等;

　　2、多注意否定詞、轉折詞;語氣的作用;

　　如果第一個人是個非常高昂的語調，而第二個人卻降下來了，說明事情是有轉折的。
