　　It is obvious that China has a significant impact on New Zealand's future. Politically, China is becoming increasingly interested in playing an active role in international affairs.

　　China is becoming an influential global power. And most importantly, it is in New Zealand's neighborhood, in the Pacific Basin. To us, China is not the "Far East", but the “Near North".
