據(jù)中國(guó)人民銀行授權(quán)中國(guó)外匯交易中心公布，5月8日銀行間外匯市場(chǎng)人民幣匯率中間價(jià)為1美元對(duì)人民幣6.1980元，再創(chuàng)歷史新高。

　　《中國(guó)日?qǐng)?bào)》的報(bào)道：

　　The People's Bank of China on Wednesday set the daily reference rate of the yuan against the dollar at 6.1980， the highest since China unified the official and market exchange rates at the end of 1993.

　　中國(guó)人民銀行周三(5月8日)將人民幣對(duì)美元的每日參考匯率定為1美元對(duì)人民幣6.1980元，創(chuàng)下自1993年底官方匯率與市場(chǎng)交易匯率并軌以來(lái)的最高紀(jì)錄。

　　Reference rate就是“參考匯率”，中國(guó)人民銀行(People's Bank of China，也稱為central bank)對(duì)外公布的當(dāng)日人民幣與其他貨幣交易的benchmark(基準(zhǔn)價(jià))就叫匯率中間價(jià)(central parity rate)，參考匯率(reference rate)指的就是央行公布的這個(gè)比價(jià)。

　　在相關(guān)報(bào)道中，peg這個(gè)詞也需要大家注意。Peg在外匯詞匯中指“盯住”，即“將本國(guó)貨幣按一個(gè)固定比率同一種外幣或金價(jià)掛鉤”，“中國(guó)取消人民幣與美元掛鉤”，可以用以下幾種方式來(lái)表達(dá)：

　　Chinese currency was no longer be pegged to the US dollar.

　　China scraped/ditched yuan peg to US dollar.

　　China abandoned the currency's decade-old peg against the US dollar.

　　2005年7月21日起，中國(guó)開(kāi)始實(shí)行“人民幣不再單一盯美元，而改為與一攬子貨幣掛鉤的匯率機(jī)制”(the move to peg the renminbi against a basket of currencies rather than just the US dollar)。
