　　虛擬語氣的特殊用法

　　1) 表示某種祝愿。

　　e.g.: God bless you! 上帝保佑你!

　　Long live Chairman Mao! 毛主席萬歲!

　　2) It is (high) time… 后接句子應(yīng)用一般過去時(shí)。

　　e.g.: It is (high) time we went. 我們?cè)摶丶伊恕?/P>

　　It is (high) time we caught the robbers. 是該我們抓強(qiáng)盜了。

　　3) 由to think引導(dǎo)的句子，表示“沒想到”。

　　e.g.: To think that he was a girl. 真沒想到他是個(gè)女孩。

　　To think that she was such a woman. 真沒想到她是這樣一個(gè)人。4) as it were做插入語，表示“姑且這么說”。

　　e.g.: I, as it were, eat like a horse. 我吃起來簡(jiǎn)直想匹馬啊!

　　He looks like a lion as it were. 他看上去簡(jiǎn)直就像是頭獅子。5) if need be做插入語，表示“如果有必要的話”。

　　e.g.: I can go anywhere if need be. 如果有必要的話我可以去任何地方。

　　If need be, you will have 5 meals a day.

　　如果有必要的話你一天要吃5頓飯。

　　1) would have thought 表示“會(huì)想到，會(huì)以為”。

　　e.g.: Who would have thought to meet a white elephant.

　　誰會(huì)想到會(huì)遇到一頭白象啊!

　　They would have thought they might get more money.

　　他們會(huì)以為拿到更多的錢。

　　2) 虛擬條件句的某些倒裝。

　　在某些虛擬條件句中，有時(shí)候if可以省略，這時(shí)句子要發(fā)生部分倒裝。

　　e.g.: Were I you I would not marry her.

　　如果我是你，我就不會(huì)和她結(jié)婚的。

　　Should he be interested in learning English, he will keep touch with me. 如果他對(duì)學(xué)習(xí)英語感興趣，他會(huì)和我保持聯(lián)系的。
