Numerous scientific studies conducted since 1939 have indicated that smoking is very harmful to health. Legislation is badly needed to ban all advertising of tobacco products as it persuades people to smoke more and so is in a large part responsible for people with deteriorating health or those who died of lung cancer.

　　自從1939年以來，人們做了大量的科學(xué)研究確定了煙草對(duì)人體健康危害極大。急需立法來禁止各種煙草產(chǎn)品的廣告宣傳。因?yàn)檫@種廣告總是勸人們吸更多的煙，因而在很大程度應(yīng)對(duì)那些健康狀況惡化或由肺癌致死的人們負(fù)責(zé)。
