To the Tune of Intoxication in East Wind
Lu Zhi
Through the painted screen in autumn the candlelight is bright,
Under the blue sky it’s still in the pavilion at night.
Needle works are woven,
Burned incenses as sacrifices are given,
To celebrate this great occasion under the Heaven.
Lying on bed, I gaze at Altair and Vega, a courting couple so high,
The phoenix tree casts its shadow as the moon moves in the sky.
